Conversions

Detroit EV is now converting vehicles! We are working with customers to convert a vehicle of their choice. We can provide AC and DC drive systems and Lithium batteries are available. Conversion costs for an S-10, DC drive, Zilla Z1K controller, WarP 9" Motor, Manzanita PFC20 Charger, and lead acid batteries will cost approximately $15,000 in parts and $5,000 in labor.

Alternatively, Detroit EV can provide advice to you on your conversion, and can help with some items, keeping your conversion on schedule. We recommend the S-10 conversion kit designed by Canadian EV with the Zilla controller option however lead times for this controller are sometimes longer than preferred.

Detroit EV will also be converting and selling some vehicles after they are converted.
